Holy cow, a WPSL win

Congratulations to Chris Andreasen. In winning tonight, he has surpassed the record of all but one Fusion WPSL coach. That coach, Marco Campoverde, is now an assistant coach with Salvo.

A quick note on sources: I have linked to the various pages of E Pluribus Loonum quoted but also feel relatively happy that I can quote them at length, given I was the original author of the reports quoted. It is a modest effort to prevent this club history disappearing if the site is ever taken down entirely.

Jack Hartley secured the first ever point in team history (against TwinStars Dragons) in 2018.

"TwinStars arrived in town with Bemidji State Beaver Natalie Engel deputising for Bulut Turk Ozturk as coach and she and Fusion’s Jack Hartley oversaw a turf burner in a constant drizzle. Fusion spent much of the game living up to their potential rather than their record, leading 2-0 with goals from Katie Moller (in the 14th minute, with an assist from fellow goalscorer Mallory Fenske) and Ruth Hegsted (in the 22nd minute, assisted by Holly Enderle). The home looked secure in the lead but two goals in 5 mins saw TwinStars level the score. The visitors then went ahead in the 40th minute, despite Fusion continuing to press, after Haley Hillstrom barged an attacker over in the area. The penalty itself was exquisitely placed into the corner.

Fusion pressed up and in injury time at the end of the first half, Holly Enderle bulleted the ball into the net in a goalmouth scramble. TwinStars began the second half with Jade King dancing into the Fusion area before a diving Haley Hillstrom palmed it away. Hillstrom then tipped a point blank shot over the bar in the 57th. In the 64th minute, Annika Greaney put Fusion ahead for the final time but the visitors had a final comeback, Dakota Wendell securing the draw in the 84th minute and turning a first ever win for Fusion into a first ever point."  Marco Campoverde presided over the first wins in club history (in 2019):

Dakota Fusion traveled down to Rochester and secured their first ever WPSL win, with goals from local products Brookelyn Dew and Lauren Hodny. Dew opened the score in the 7th minute after neat interchanging of passes in the midfield and muscling clear of the central defender. Aline Delmedico was a handful throughout the game for the Lions but could only notch one in return -tying the game in the 28th minute when a breakaway saw a Fusion defensive mix-up. Lauren Hodny gave Fusion the lead once more in the 50th after a scything pass from midfield through the United defense. The visitors were calm in possession despite the paucity of their record in two seasons of play and clinically finished their two shots on target, whereas Rochester will wonder where their composure went in front of goal." "Fusion notched a second win of the season after another close match against Fire, this time in a windy Moorhead. Ellie Schneider broke the deadlock from a corner in the 25th minute. Fire then took the majority of the possession before a 66th minute breakaway was finished with a chip over the visiting keeper by Laura Powell. Five minutes later, the visitors returned fire with an almost identical setup and a smart finish by Lauren Johnson from 30 yards out. The last goal of the evening saw Brookelyn Dew finish off a pass from her NDSU team mate Mariah Haberle - a former Fire player - in the 85th minute." (ibid, July 5th 2019 )

2022 also, the conference continued to grow but Fusion receded further:
